Homemade Honey Nut Butter

1 pint heavy cream
2 tablespoons pecan nuts, crushed
3 tablespoons honey
1 2-pint mason jar, empty


Pour cream into mason jar and shake, shake, shake. It will take about 20 minutes of shaking for cream to separate into butter and buttermilk.
(It's nice to have a friend to pass back and forth with or some kids you want to wear out).
After separation, pour off buttermilk (use it to make some pancakes or biscuits).
Put clean cold water in with butter, shake and pour off. Repeat until water pours clean.
Stir in honey and nuts.
Yield: 1 Cup
